About

A risk-taker and global citizen all her life, Alida was born in and spent her early years in Russia. Her parents made the bold move of leaving the familiarity and comfort of life in Rwanda to study in Russia. On relocating to Rwanda a few years later, and no sooner had she adjusted to her new culture and environment, life was upended. The 1994 genocide forced Alida and her family to flee Rwanda and resettle in Kenya as refugees. In spite of this, her determination to overcome adversity and pursue her dreams remained unyielding.

Following an 11-year stint in the corporate world, where she worked in insurance, she leaped into entrepreneurship and is the founder of Innov8POD, a company building and operationalizing remote tech teams in Africa and Asia for companies globally.

Alida obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of New Hampshire (USA) and a Master’s in Project Management from George Washington University (USA)
