An experienced international business leader, Carlista is the Group Head of New Sciences at BAT (British American Tobacco). Based in Southampton, England, Carlista is responsible for driving BAT’s R&D strategy and development of world-class consumer products.

An engineer by training, Carlista began her career with Procter & Gamble in the US and later on relocated to Singapore where she led innovation for multi-billion dollar global brands such as Pantene, Bounty, Charmin, and Head & Shoulders. As a female and minority leader in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), Carlista is a champion of diversity and inclusion and actively drives the conversation forward through mentoring and targeted programs inspiring young females in STEM.
