About
Peter Akwaboah is Managing Director and Global COO of Technology, Operations and Firm Resilience, as well as Head of Transformation, at Morgan Stanley and is based in New Jersey. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Peter worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland for ten years in London and Singapore. In his last role with RBS, he served as COO for Operations, Technology, and Corporate Services Asia Pacific and was based in Singapore for 6 years. He has also held several senior roles in Operations and Technology at Deutsche Bank, KPMG, and IBM.
Education
Peter holds degrees in civil engineering from the University of Birmingham.
Highlights
Peter is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank’s (FRB) Payments Risk Committee and was instrumental in a $3bn bond sale for Ghana with Morgan Stanley as one of the banks to co-lead the deal.
Peter sits on the board of the Foundation of Orthopaedics and Complex Spine (FOCOS) in Ghana, and also serves as the co-head of the Morgan Stanley Black Employee Network Group (BENG). In this role, Peter supports and advocates for the development and advancement of black and ethnic minorities.
